marenkehello!! if youre here you're probably wondering what other things i enjoy and why!
so !! here's a list detailing them!
AUs
all of them! my preferences lay on historical (medieval or victwardian preferred, but i'll read Anything); im just curious to see how these characters work outside established canon borders - be it a canon divergence or a full on setting change!! i also adore a good soulmate au - any configuration of it is fantastic!!
fluff
i just think that they deserve to have a little bit of happiness as a treat. just tooth rotting fluff for the poor sad characters. i mean sure you made them sad but like, still.
happy endings
same as above. they deserve to be happy after all the drama! all the pining! all the trauma!
sad endings
because sometimes things are bad and just Have to get worse. :)
A/B/O
i like the worldbuilding of a/b/o universes. heat supressants! nests! the whole universe expectations of Alpha and Omega and Beta and what it means to step outside that binary (trinary?)! also the porn is good but i really enjoy a/b/o for its worldbuilding so if you wanna go crazy on it Please Do
angst
a perfect companion to fluff - you need the emotional low of angst for it to be really effective. i just like to see characters going thru hell - emotional, physical, or both!
arranged marriages
good in any combination - strangers to friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, lovers to enemies to lovers, whatever your heart wants. i just want two people to be forced to marry each other and learning how to cope w that.
dub/noncon
i wish i had a proper excuse for this but i dont. alas. it's just nice to see a character suffering, really
X to Y
enemies to lovers! friends to enemies! strangers to fuckbuddies! all the cliches of X to Y because it puts characters through the fucking wringer and i love to see these little bastards suffer!!
petplay
im actually kinda Iffy on the whole "eat out of a bowl bc yr a Literal Animal" and/or "24/7 pretend to be a dog" aspect of it BUT there's nothing as good as one character treating the other as a particularly beloved pet (lap time! patting their head! good boy/girl! calling them a puppy!)
trans characters
would really like some trans joy. i think it's deserved. so transition fics! fics where gender euphoria is discussed and had! fics where the character goes thru dysphoria and manages to make their own happiness despite it! just trans characters being trans!!
fic cliches
only one bed? coffeeshop au? fake dating? im here for all of those and every other cliche you can think of. they're cliches for a reason - because they're fun to read and work, and i'm nothing but a simple guy who really likes his cliches
curtainfic
there's only a handful of pairings i'm really into enough for a curtainfic, BUT i'm easily convinced so. might as well add it here. some slice of life cuteness never hurt anyone
competence kink
can be sexual. can be nonsexual (A is just REALLY good at something like. idk crochet. and B can't believe how horny it makes them for some reason). but i really enjoy competent characters being competent and rewarded for being good.
loyalty kink
idk im just saying if you stuck through hell with them, they should get their dick sucked. or something.
