Marenke. if you're here you're probably looking thru my prompts. probably. anyway.
i just want to say something first but: if you already have an idea and it clashes with my prompts, ignore me and go with what want to write. okay? when the author has fun i think the writing is better. these are suggestions! so.

Something Dark and Holy:
alright might as well do fandom promo while you're here. the something dark and holy trilogy, by emily a. duncan, is composed of three books - wicked saints, ruthless gods, and blessed monsters -, and if i had to do their comps i'd say grisha trilogy meets skyrim. the series in set in fantasy!russia and fantasy!poland, two countries at war because of religious differences - fantasy!russia has a pantheon of gods and clerics, figures that are able to communicate and wield the gods' powers, while fantasy!poland has said "fuck this shit" and invented magic of their own, which upset the gods and caused war for the past few centuries. our protagonist is nadezhda "nadya" lapteva, the last of the clerics, able to commune with the entire pantheon, and who leads a mostly normal life in the monastery where she was abandoned at - until the prince of fantasy!poland comes knocking to kill her. nadya flees, and ends up meeting a mysterious soldier from fantasy!poland, alongside his two traveling companions.

i can't explain the ways these two absolutely scratch some itch i didnt know i had. it's just! both of them are lying to one another and Both Know They Are Lying! theyre from different countries w different ideologies and neither can give in for the other! theyre extremely underrated, so i'd genuinely enjoy Anything for them!

spy whos suffering a lot/her spymaster who is powerless.... i think it's such a hurt/comfort ship that it's insane how its not shipped more. she trusted him! he trusted her! what was going on between them? i am ignoring the whole master/student shit i dont care about it i want to see the romance between a man who's sacrificing his loved one for the good of a country who hates their kind and the angst that comes from it

the way neuvillette was pining... the way furina was afraid/ashamed to face him post-quest..... i think there's so much longing and pining in their 500 years together! theres even more now considering neuvillettes still immortal and furina isnt. or you can give me double dragon dick porn. im game for both.

they're so alike! both creations of a divine being that, in one way or another, were abandoned and left to their own devices with no plan, clue, or idea of what to do. one turned to evil, and the other, to theater, and when their purposes were done, they were left, again, with no idea of what to do. i think they'd have a lot to talk about!

the quest was so [vibrates in place] about it. enemies that are lovers and will never be more than that but... haha what if.... both had feelings... complicated ones... about being enemies and lovers but still being on the same side because one of you erased your crimes from existence..... wouldn't that be fucked up or what.... i'm making popcorn ignore me
Ever After High
small canon promo: Ever After High is a early 2010s cartoon about the children of fairy tale figures, such as the Evil Queen, Snow White, the Mad Hatter, etc, all with rigid destinies to follow - until Raven Queen, the Evil Queen's daughter, decides to rebel against her fate, much to the displeasure of Snow White's daughter, Apple White, who she was supposed to poison. Raven does NOT want to follow her destiny, and Apple is all but poisoning the apple herself to give to Raven. Very fun dynamics and cast, it's available on Netflix and also on archive.org!

one of the first lesbian reps in cartoon, and with a twist to boot - wdym darling is apple's prince?? gasp -, i think any comedy of errors about them would be hilarious. apple absolutely unaware x darling who Is aware. and pining. and suffering. anything!
- Bunny Blanc/Kitty Cheshire/Madeline "Maddie" Hatter/Lizzie Hearts/Alistair Wonderland
started shipping this after watching spring unsprung and maddie said "meet our good friend," and misheard it as "meet our boyfriend". it makes sense! the wonderlandians are the only ones who understand what they all went through (refugees of the evil queen's curse? who had to flee and only some of them went through? and who are only reunited after alistair and bunny accidentally figure out there's still an entrance open? and had all resigned to never seeing each other again??), and, really, what's there not to ship? i want more of them, please
The Locked Tomb Trilogy
- Anastasia the First & Harrowhark Nonagesimus
honestly i think this would be pretty cool. anastasia as the ancestor who JUST woke up from a very long nap, and harrow, who is about to kill herself (possibly not metaphorically) because dear god the ninth is a MESS and now the founder is right there and the ninth is. well. with corpses in the closet moving around. i'd love a fix it where anastasia takes charge, or maybe an immediately post-nona where not only alecto wakes up, so does our friend anastasia!
